The Second Shelf is a rare book business and new quarterly periodical focused on increasing the visibility of writing by women and their contributions throughout history.
Their debut issue features highlights from their rare book stock alongside original essays, fiction, poetry, and interviews with women writers.
The Second Shelf 01 is litho printed in CMYK using vegetable-based inks on FSC paper and section sewn in 230 x 170 mm portrait format. The shocking pink cover is printed on bright white embossed 290gsm Brossulin XT, with 160pp on uncoated 140gsm stock plus a 4pp gloss insert spotlighting rich photography.
