Despite rumours to the contrary book printing isn’t quite dead. Books as desirable objects are still in demand.

Here is a great example: ‘Soerditch; Diary of a neighbourhood’ has been produced in the style of a traditional newspaper cartoon annual. It’s the latest work of artist Adam Dant who updates the form and attitude of Giles with random scraps of overheard gossip and opinion to present a vivid picture of contemporary life in Shoreditch.

Printed by Calverts on Arcoprint Edizioni 1.5 Avorio with an unusual stab stitched perfectbound cover, the book is launched at 11 Spitalfields Gallery on 7th March 2013 to coincide with World Book Day.
