We designed this beautiful signage for Groundworks, illustrating the recently installed rain garden at Renfrew Close in Newham.
A rain garden is a water saving garden designed specifically to capture rain water from hard surfaces such as driveways, patios and roofs via downpipes.
Beneath the rain garden are layers of sandy soil which help to slow the rate of water which enter drains and rivers. These layers also help to remove pollution, dust, and leaves, which are washed off hard surfaces.
Children from nearby Winsor Primary School were involved with the project and their drawings are incorporated into the signage design.
