Calvertistas past and present have studied or taught at the London College of Communication – mostly when it had a printing school.
The LCC 2010 MA Graphic Design show catalogue was produced using 100% recycled papers supplied by McNaughtons, and K+E's Bio vegetable oil based inks.
Designed and produced by graduate students Sergio Garcia, Alice Bosc, Silvia Baz and Pau Dalmau, the book is in an elegant and economical 235mm x 170mm format, and is 136pp in extent, making space for two-page spreads for each of 63 entrants.
It's printed on Cocoon Offset for the text and the off-white Cyclus, a low bleach paper with visible dirt inclusions, for the blind embossed cover.
The production team worked closely with Calverts and learned about paper selection and specifying, flight checking files, checking proofs and generally dealing with us lot, on a tight schedule. We proofed, printed, finished and delivered the catalogue in five days.
