Vague term which should be avoided or heavily qualified. It usually signifies print using recycled, unbleached or chlorine-free paper, and water, vegetable or soya based inks.
eps
Short for encapsulated postscript file. A file format for storing and transmitting vector graphics, where the image is stored using geometric formulae (rather than bitmapped). This means it is scalable without loss of quality. We usually ask clients to supply images such as logos in eps format. Other file formats, such as jpg, gif and tif, can easily be created from an eps original.
